What you need
- A browser. The whole game runs in it — no downloads, no Java applet nostalgia required (okay, a little).
- A wallet. OP_WALLET if you want to earn RST on Bitcoin L1, or MetaMask if you'd rather earn wRST on Ethereum. You only need one.
Important: one character is locked to one wallet, on one chain, at registration. Choose deliberately — your character's earnings will pay out on whichever chain you register.
First steps
- Go to /play and connect your wallet.
- Pick a username and create your character.
- Choose your difficulty mode — this permanently sets your RST earning multiplier (see World Tiers & Difficulty). Hardcore pays 5× but death has consequences.
- Skip or play the tutorial, then get to work: chop trees, mine ore, catch fish.
- Sell what you gather to the merchant. Your GP starts converting into pending RST automatically.
Your first claim
Your first claim unlocks at just 100 GP of pending earnings, so you'll feel the full loop early — earn, claim, see tokens land in your own wallet. After the first one, claims require at least 1,000 GP pending, so let it accumulate.

A warning about the early game
Until you've earned 1,000 RST, you're confined to Misthalin — and the server doesn't pretend otherwise: this phase is meant to be hard. Every veteran on this server ground through it. The world literally expands as you earn. That's the design.
