The loop
- Gather — chop logs, mine ore, fish, craft, fletch, runecraft. Everything sellable counts.
- Sell to the merchant — your sales earn GP. A 10% cut goes to the community reward pool at sale time; the rest accrues to you as pending RST.
- Kill things — big monsters pay bounties directly. See The Bounty System.
- Claim — convert your pending balance into real tokens, minted by the contract directly to your wallet.
The conversion
GP converts to RST at the game's conversion rate — a mechanism baked into the world's economy, the same way XP curves and drop rates are. It is tuned to preserve scarcity as the world fills up with players. The current rate is always public on the Tokenomics page.
Your difficulty mode multiplies your earnings: Hardcore 5×, Normal 2×, Easy 1.5×. Chosen once, at character creation.
Claiming on Bitcoin (RST)
If you registered with OP_WALLET, claiming works by voucher: the server signs a one-time proof that you earned your balance, and you submit the transaction. The RST contract on Bitcoin L1 (via OPNet) mints directly to your keys. The server never holds your tokens and cannot take them back.
A 10% claim fee applies — split 50/50 between the community grant pool (which refuels future claims forever) and sRST stakers.
Claiming on Ethereum (wRST)
If you registered with MetaMask, the same gameplay pays out in wRST, an ERC-20 twin of RST. The server signs an ETH claim proof; you submit it through MetaMask and the wRST contract mints to your address. Same 10% fee, same split.
Claim minimums
| Claim | Minimum pending |
|---|---|
| First ever | 100 GP |
| Every claim after | 1,000 GP |
What to do with it
Hold it, stake it for sRST yield, trade it on MotoSwap (BTC) or Uniswap (ETH), or spend it at the in-game broker on partyhats, lamps, and tool upgrades.
