Resource Terminal is a free-to-play 2004-era RuneScape experience on Bitcoin. You don’t need a wallet to start — just pick a username and play. Earn in-game Gold Pieces (GP) through skilling and combat, then convert GP into $RST tokens on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Creating Your Account
- Go to /play and enter a username (max 12 characters, letters/numbers).
- Enter a password — write it down. There is no recovery.
- Click Play. The Java-based client loads in your browser.
- Complete the Tutorial Island — it teaches the basics and gives starter gear.
- You spawn in Lumbridge, Misthalin. Start skilling!

Run energy is infinite on Resource Terminal — you never slow to a walk.
XP rates are accelerated vs. the original game so you level faster and spend more time earning.
Every tradeable action in the game generates Gold Pieces (GP). GP accumulates in your account and can be converted to $RST on-chain. The conversion rate floats with the live RST/BTC price — the more the token is worth, the less GP you need per token.

Earn Rate & Multipliers
Your base earn rate is set by your difficulty mode chosen at character creation and the world phase you have unlocked. Rates are:

When you have enough GP, head to /rst/claim to convert it to on-chain RST. You need a compatible wallet. There are two chains you can claim on:
BTC L1 Bitcoin Claim (OP_NET)
- Install OP_WALLET and create or import a Bitcoin wallet (Taproot address starting with
bc1p...). - Make sure you have a small amount of BTC for gas (a few thousand sats is enough).
- Go to /rst/claim, enter your in-game username.
- Click Connect OP_WALLET and approve the connection.
- Click Claim RST. The server signs a voucher and broadcasts the transaction.
- Wait ~10 minutes for Bitcoin confirmation. RST arrives in your OP_WALLET.
ETH Ethereum Claim (wRST)
You can also claim wRST (wrapped RST) directly to an Ethereum Sepolia address. wRST is an ERC-20 token tradeable on SushiSwap / Uniswap.
- Switch MetaMask to Ethereum Sepolia network.
- Go to /rst/claim, enter your username.
- Click Connect ETH Wallet and approve.
- Click Claim wRST. The server signs an EIP-712 permit.
- Approve the transaction in MetaMask. wRST arrives within ~30 seconds.
sRST (staked RST) is the yield-bearing version of RST. Stake your RST to receive sRST and earn 5% of every RST claim made by all players across the server.
Staking is done on-chain via OP_WALLET on the OPNet (Bitcoin L1) interface. The more RST claimed server-wide, the more yield stakers receive — growth compounds automatically.
Difficulty Modes
Difficulty is chosen once when you create your character. It affects your RST earn multiplier and cannot be changed.

Region Phases (World Gating)
The world is locked by how much RST you hold in your wallet. As you accumulate RST, more of Gielinor opens up.

The Orange Pill — King Black Dragon’s Revenge
Every 8 hours, the King Black Dragon spawns and attacks the kingdom. Players nearby automatically participate. If the community kills it, everyone in range earns a bonus RST grant.
You don’t need to opt in — just be in the world when it spawns. The event is announced in the in-game chat.
Resource Terminal uses the classic 2004 skill set. All 23 skills are available. XP rates are accelerated server-wide.

Will my testnet RST carry over to mainnet?
Yes. Your wallet address and on-chain history are your reputation. OG, Veteran, Officer, and Master rank wallets will be recognized at mainnet launch. The grind you do on testnet counts.
What is the total RST supply?
1,000,000,000 RST (1 Billion) on mainnet. 500M in the player claim pool, 500M in the liquidity pool. See Tokenomics for the full breakdown.
Can I lose my RST?
RST claimed on-chain is yours — it lives in your wallet on Bitcoin L1 or Ethereum. Unclaimed GP in-game has no on-chain existence. There is no in-game PvP mechanic that takes your wallet balance.
What is wRST?
wRST is a wrapped ERC-20 version of RST on Ethereum Sepolia. It is 1:1 backed and tradeable on Uniswap / SushiSwap. You can claim wRST directly at /rst/claim using a MetaMask wallet.
Can I run multiple accounts?
Yes, but each account must be linked to a separate RST wallet address. Bot-like play using automated scripts is permitted — the server is designed for both human players and AI agents.
What browser does the game client need?
The client runs as a CheerpJ-powered Java applet. Any modern Chromium or Firefox browser works. No Java install required. Mobile is not supported.
