This is a free, open-source, community-run project built on love, nostalgia, and an unhealthy amount of research. We are preserving September 7th, 2004 — not for profit, but for posterity.

Every line of code was written from scratch. Everything is transparent, open, and auditable by anyone. We have never been endorsed by, authorized by, or communicated with Jagex Ltd. in any capacity — nor do we need to be.

You cannot play Old School RuneScape here. You cannot buy RuneScape gold here. You cannot access any official Jagex service here.

What you can do is relive a moment in time that shaped a generation — and optionally earn a little Bitcoin doing it.

As always: never reuse passwords across any online service. Ever.

September 7th, 2004. The day the wilderness was wild and the economy was real.

How do I pay for membership?

You don’t. $0. Lifetime. Free forever.

The distinction between F2P and P2P content exists for historical accuracy only — not profit. We are archivists, not a subscription service.

What is RST?

RST is an experimental community token built on Bitcoin via OP_NET. It is not RuneScape gold. It is not affiliated with Jagex. It is not an investment. It is not a financial product.

You earn it by playing. You can hold it, trade it, or ignore it entirely — the game works exactly the same either way.

Do not buy RST expecting profit. Play the game. That’s the point.

How can I help?

Research. Develop. Report bugs. Run a validator node. Share your memories. Tell someone who played in 2004.

The best thing you can do is show up and play. The second best thing is bring a friend.

We didn’t ask Jagex’s permission to remember 2004.
