Playing RuneScape is a lot like playing chess — there are many different ways to go about it. This server runs on the 2004 RS2 client: the upgrade that defined a generation. No Grand Exchange, no bonds — just the grind.
In 2004–2006, 1 million GP was worth $5 USD on the black market. Partyhats were 100M GP. The Venezuela gold farming era documented something fascinating: a broken national economy found real income in a virtual world. Jagex invented Bonds in 2013 to capture that market — essentially an in-game stablecoin backed by membership time, with a floating GP exchange rate. They became the biggest gold seller without anyone realising it.
Resource Terminal takes the next step: on-chain settlement. The RWT market is already $50–120M/year in the dark. RST just makes it transparent and legitimate. The gap between “this already happens” and “this happens on a chain” is smaller than most people think.
